Comfort Makers participates in the 2020 Hunger Run

In early March I took part in the Columbia Pacific Food Bank’s first annual Hunger Run. That’s me, number 36 with Natasha from Keep it Local Columbia County dressed as a pineapple. All of the proceeds from this event went to support the Food Bank’s capital campaign to raise money to outfit the inside of their new, larger office and warehouse that will open in late 2021. It was a classic, wet and gray, Oregon early spring day. The weather did not dampen the fun as nearly 100 people turned out to run, walk and raise awareness for the fight against food insecurity in Columbia County.
